English Revision
1. Try some basic English revision. Check out these pages:
http://www.englishpage.com/ You can read the weekly lesson to revise grammar points and refresh your memory of tenses and structures in English. You can work on your reading in the reading room section. There are free online newspapers, magazines and books.
http://www.bbc.co.uk/skillswise/ Here there is work on spelling, reading, writing and vocabulary.
http://www.bbc.co.uk/schools/ks3bitesize/english/ This has tips on reading; different types of writing; speaking and listening and everyone’s favourite: SHAKESPEARE!
2. You could also try timed writing. Look at a page in any book. Write down the first sentence you see and write continuously on from that for 10 minutes. It doesn’t matter what you write, just keep going.
THEN spend 10 minutes proof reading your work to make sure your spelling, punctuation and grammar are accurate.
Try this every day. Hopefully you will be able to write more and you will train yourself to improve your accuracy.
3. READ! Look at our recommended book lists. Mr Bendall and Miss O’Sullivan have recommended 100 books you should read. Your fellow students have also recommended their favourite books. Get inspired and get reading. It is the best way to improve your vocabulary and overall level in English.
GOOD LUCK.
